Role in CARE Study

I serve as a graduate student researcher with the CARE Study. Through the Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics, I work with the Resiliency Family Program (RFP), one of the interventions being studied as part of CARE, which offers one-on-one support for parents, psychoeducation on the impact of ACEs, and promotion of stress-coping strategies. I am working with this section of the CARE study to measure and assess biological, behavioral, and psychosocial outcomes for caregivers and children. Additionally, I have been working to validate an updated version of the PEARLS screener tool.

Why I'm Excited About CARE

I am passionate about increasing access and quality of intervention programs to support families exposed to adversity and trauma. Through providing compassionate services that focus on biological, behavioral, and psychosocial well-being and thriving, I believe we can support health and resilience in caregivers, their children, and their families as a whole.
