Neeta Thakur, MD
Role in CARE Study
Dr. Thakur is the lead investigator for the CARE Study. Dr. Thakur is the Director for the Collaborative Learning for Equity and Respiratory health Lab (CLEAR Lab) at UC San Francisco that aims to address social adversity and environmental hazards that more often burden communities of color through individual-level and placed-based interventions. She is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at UCSF and a national expert on asthma and other respiratory health disparities.
Why I’m Excited About CARE
The CARE Study is a true partnership with front-lined providers, community organizations, and families to figure out together the best way to screen for early-life adversities and trauma in primary care and the different ways we can holistically support families.
